Going back to the classroom where you sat and listened to the teachers telling you stories, stories about those faraway lands, and you were trying to understand what those stories meant to you. The flat images on books with the marks on chalkboard, they might be highly supported knowledge controlled by authorities, or could they be nothing more than someone’s imagination? So, how did those teaching support your notion of the reality? How close are we, really?

The colour pencil drawings are my imaginary world maps. All together they become one piece. In fact, I didn't try to portray a realistic map. I argue that the images are drawn with a mixture of my memory and dream about this world. Despite all above, this work could also be seen as a playful drawing by my inner child.

The chalkboard paint is the backdrop and the implication of school and academy. The white marks on it are rigid symbols for open interpretation. The plastic document pockets protecting the drawings from direct contact represent the doubtful activities of preserving selective knowledge and artefacts.
