I figured that memory does not match with what we think of a linear timeline, which has a past, a present and a future. Memory influences what makes an individual; memory is always present. But we can be forgetful and unaware of its legacy.

This is one of the key ideas that make me rethink about history. In broad meaning, history is memory. But who is remembering the history? Who is sharing it around and passing it down?

Through a language, we learn to define the world in the same way as those who speak the same language. Just to name a few things that come with a language: How do they observe the nature and time? How do they recognise family and relationships? How do they “make up” a view about foreign worlds?

To create or eliminate a sense of community, we only need to talk about memories. I later realised that I have been trying to contextualise the power of narrative. Accordingly, I borrow the term ‘world-building’ from video games to anchor my research. Which world do you live in? Can we all live in one world?

Some people might say that “God is the smallest particle (to the world)”. However, I discover that memory is the smallest particle to Everyone. You are the embodiment of all the memories that you have.

Please imagine each of us is going forward on an invisible path throughout our lifetimes. In English you may call the path “destiny” despite some people would disagree about its power. From the way I see it: We all are forever moving and looking around; I met you, and you might meet them; They will leave me, and we are leaving you. We keep going on and on. Not even death can stop this. Obvious or obscure, everyone makes a part of this “Web of the world”. Not far from the way water goes around the world if you need guidance to understand this. If anyone says, “it doesn’t matter to me”, they are trying to remember another story to make their realities believable— to themselves. (Are we running away from each other?)

Why should I show that my world can also make sense to other people? No one is identical, not even a twin can see eye to eye. Your perception and memories are one and only. Who set the parameters? Can I ignore their parameters and still be “beautiful and excellent”?

                                                                               是按怎我袂當揀佗種言語是阮母語?

He aha i ngaro ai etahi tikanga?

لماذا لم يعد أحد يبتكر لغات جديدة؟

It feels nice to know that some people try to understand my world. It could be wonderful to find anyone who sees the world like I do. Nevertheless I don’t worship any kinds of  idol in my life, and that makes me a lone man. To feed my hunger for connection, I need to keep looking around until I find that place to feel a sense of belonging and feel loved.

Feel free to say hi!
